This comedy feature, directed and produced by a woman, centers on Mags, who finds herself at a pivotal moment in her life. Her best friend Julie persuades her to leave town, leading them into one mishap after another, ultimately discovering the true essence of friendship.

Ryann Liebl, an award-winning director, completed her first feature film in 2019. Despite challenges like the absence of film festivals, closed cinemas, and no live events, she managed to finish and release it during the pandemic in late 2020.

Her short films, music videos, and commercials have garnered numerous awards and have been showcased at over 20 film festivals.

Her debut feature under her production company, REL Films, is a comedy about two best friends on a road trip gone awry, discovering the meaning of friendship along the way. It’s a charming film reminiscent of “Bridesmaids” and “Planes, Trains and Automobiles.”

With deep Midwest roots, Ryann finds humor in unexpected places and strives to infuse her projects with intentional imagery and beauty.

Driven by a strong work ethic and focus, Ryann has three other feature films planned for 2022-2024: a gripping thriller titled “Stand and Fight” about an ex-military woman living in isolation in the Ozarks, a hilarious comedy called “Is This My Life?” filming in the UK/Scotland, and an expansive Western set in the 1800s featuring a strong female lead, titled “Cora’s War.”
