THE LAST RECKONING emerged from a timeless question: Do we receive what we deserve? The project was a nominee of NY Independent Art Film Fest for best independent film and best cinematography.

A renowned lawyer conspires with his rash brother to conceal a manslaughter, but when an innocent person is accused, their scheme unravels, leading to a moral confrontation and unavoidable judgment.

Garnet Campbell is a Canadian filmmaker whose perspective has been influenced by the quiet resilience of the Prairies and his years traveling through the UK, Eastern Europe, and Scandinavia as a live sound mixer and audio engineer for various bands. His work frequently delves into themes of transformation, identity, and the dignity of everyday people. With experience in both documentary and narrative filmmaking, Garnet infuses a grounded, human element into each project, striving to tell stories that resonate beyond the screen. The feature project was selected and nominated for the competition of New York Independent Art Film Fest.
